Composite C1 CMS
When a client asks us to provide them with a solution that requires a web content management system, our choice of system is determined by a number of factors.
The concept of "content management" largely boils down to taking a collection of information and displaying it to the viewer. There are then often some common interactions available depending on the context.....buy, subscribe, navigate, etc. Once you realise those boundaries, you can see how cleanly the idea of content management matches the Model View Controller (MVC) pattern.
- The "Content" is held in the "Model".
- The page web site that the users sees is the "View".
- The interactions are provided by the "Controller".
This seamless architecure means that our choice of CMS is almost always one that is built around the MVC pattern. One of the first to adopt this practice was Kooboo CMS. However with no partner program, no extension market place and limited product support, they are not always the right choice.
A popular alternative is Composite C1 CMS. Not only are they MVC based, but they are also open-source, allowing licence costs to be largely eliminated.
We are proud to announce that we are now registered partners for the Composite C1 content management system.
